M. L. Electricals

M. L. Electricals is located at 693 in Chickpet. If you know the area, you know how crazy the streets can get with all the people and carts moving around. We are right opposite the Sudarshan Family Store, which actually helps people find us when they get lost in the narrow lanes. The shop is filled with all sorts of electrical bits and pieces. We have wires hanging from everywhere and boxes of switches piled up to the ceiling. It is a bit of a squeeze sometimes when we have more than three customers inside at once. I spend most of my day looking for specific fuses or bulbs that someone saw in a magazine or heard about from their neighbor. Chickpet has its own rhythm, and we have been a part of it for many years. The morning starts with us pulling up the heavy metal shutters and dusting off the counters. It never stays clean for long because of all the street dust. We deal with contractors, local homeowners, and sometimes just people looking for a single battery. There is always tea being passed around from the stall nearby. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It is just me and a couple of helpers trying to keep track of the inventory in these old wooden cupboards. Sometimes we lose the pen, or the ledger gets a bit messy, but we generally know where everything is.
