M K Agencies is sitting on Thanisandra Main Road, right near Hegde Nagar. The address is 12/13. It’s a busy part of the city now, though it used to be much quieter when we first started. There is a lot of construction going on around here these days so there is always a bit of sand and noise. We have a decent sized space for our agency work. The shelves are mostly full and sometimes we have to move things around to find space for new arrivals. We don’t have a fancy showroom. It’s more of a place where we get things done and talk to our suppliers. There’s a small tea shop a few doors down where we go for breaks. We keep the paperwork in some old filing cabinets that have been with us since the beginning. The door sticks a little in the rainy season but you just have to give it a good push. We don’t spend much on advertising because people see us on the main road anyway. Most of our day is spent on the phone or checking the stock. It’s a simple business and we like it that way. We stay open six days a week and usually close early on Saturdays. It’s just a normal workplace with normal people. We have a small bench outside for when people need a breather.
