Lucent Technologies

Working at Lucent Technologies over in Bangalore has its own rhythm. We are tucked away in Himmagiri Meadowes, which is off Banarghatta Road in the Gottigere area. It’s a bit of a drive from the city center, but it’s a lot greener out this way. You notice the trees more than the concrete. We’ve been at 257 for a bit now. Most mornings start with some coffee and a look at what’s on the schedule. It isn't one of those high-rise glass buildings you see in the tech parks. It feels more like a place where people actually live and work together. The commute can be a bit of a pain with the Bangalore traffic, but once you get inside, it’s alright. We just do our thing here. Nothing too complicated about how we run things. We have our desks, our computers, and our daily list of things to finish. Sometimes we talk about the weather or how the road construction is going outside. It’s a practical setup. We don’t spend much time on fancy talk. We just focus on the work that comes in. Gottigere is a growing spot, and being on Banarghatta Road means there’s always something happening nearby. We like the balance of being a bit outside the main chaos. It’s just a group of us trying to do a good job every day. No big secrets. We keep it moving. It’s a place with desks and people working.
