Lotus Family Salon

We are located at number 23 on Govindappa Road in Basavanagudi. This is a very traditional part of Bangalore, and we are quite close to the Jain Temple. You can often hear the sounds of the temple and the general bustle of the local market nearby. We’ve been running this family salon for quite some time, and it has a very local feel to it. It’s not a fancy place with high-end decor; we have simple tiled floors and standard salon chairs that have been with us for a while. We see a lot of families because we’ve been here long enough to see the neighborhood kids grow up. On festival days, the whole street gets very crowded with people buying flowers and offerings, and we usually have a lot of walk-ins then. The shop is small enough that we can talk to everyone who comes in. We keep our combs and scissors in jars on the counter and have a few old posters on the walls. It’s a relaxed atmosphere where nobody is in too much of a hurry. We don’t use any complex booking systems; we mostly just take people as they come. The afternoon sun makes the front of the shop quite warm, so we usually keep the fans running at full speed. It is a basic, honest business that serves the people who live in this old part of the city.
