We're located on the 4th floor at 1 Jaya Chamarajendra Road. Most people just call it J.C. Road. This Lic Of India office is usually quite busy. If you come up the stairs or use the lift, you'll find a lot of people waiting or filling out forms. It’s a large floor with many desks squeezed together. There’s always the sound of staplers clicking and people talking over each other. We deal with insurance papers all day long. It's a lot of files and stamps. The building itself has been around for a while, and the 4th floor feels lived in. We don't have a fancy lounge or anything. Just rows of chairs for people who need to talk to us. Sometimes the queues get long, especially near the end of the month. We try to get through the paperwork as fast as we can, but there’s always more coming in. It's a very practical environment. We don't spend time on decorations. Most of us have been working here for years and know the routines by heart. The view from the windows shows the heavy traffic on J.C. Road. It’s never quiet outside. We just focus on the documents in front of us. It's not glamorous work, but it's what we do. People come here because they need to get their business sorted out, and we do our best to help them.
