Le-Meridien

Working here in Bangalore at the Le-Meridien property means you get used to a lot of movement. We are located in the 560024 area of Karnataka, and it is a big operation to keep going every day. It isn't just about the guests coming and going; it is about the behind-the-scenes stuff that people don't usually see. We have a lot of hallways and rooms that need constant attention. The staff is always moving around with carts or clipboards. Some of the carpets are getting a bit thin in the corners, and the service elevator makes a weird clunking sound every few floors. It is a big building and sometimes it feels like a small city inside. In the mornings, the kitchen starts early and you can smell the bread being toasted from the back entrance. We have a lot of meetings about schedules and who is covering which shift. It is a job that never really stops because the doors are always open. We try to keep things organized, but on busy weekends it can get a little messy in the staff rooms. We are just a group of people in uniforms trying to keep the place running. It is hard work and our feet usually hurt by the end of the day. But we have a good rhythm going and we know the building inside and out. It is just life in the city.
