A R Hotel

A R Hotel is sitting over at 315 Kumara Krupa, specifically on that 1st D Cross street. If you know this part of Bangalore, you know it's a bit of a mix of old houses and newer buildings. Our place is pretty straightforward. We have the rooms and we have the daily routine of checking people in and out. It’s not the kind of place with a lobby that looks like a museum. It’s more of a practical spot for people who just need a place to stay while they do their business in the city. We spend a lot of time on laundry and making sure the rooms are actually ready when we say they will be. The staff here has been around for a while, so we all know how the building works, including its little quirks like which doors stick when it rains. We don't spend money on fancy brochures. Most people find us because they were in the neighborhood or someone they know stayed here before. In the mornings, there’s usually a bit of a rush with people wanting tea or asking for directions to the main road. We just try to keep things quiet and clean so everyone can get some sleep. It’s a lot of repetitive work, day in and day out, but it’s a living and we’re used to the rhythm of Kumara Krupa by now. Most guests are just looking for a simple, quiet night.
