If you head down to G Street in Halasuru, you’ll find us at Shop No.104. We are right near the Halasuru Police Station, which makes it easy to give people directions when they’re lost. The shop is one of those old-style places with a heavy wooden door and glass counters that have seen better days. We spend a lot of our time weighing silver items on the small scales we keep on the main desk. The air inside always feels a bit still, and there’s a faint smell of polish from when we clean up the ornaments and plates. Halasuru is a crowded part of the city, so there’s always the sound of horns and people talking right outside our doorstep. Sometimes the police sirens go off nearby, and it reminds us exactly where we are. We have a lot of items tucked away in velvet-lined boxes, some of them a bit dusty from sitting on the higher shelves. It’s a small family-run kind of setup where we know most of the people who walk through the door. We don't have any big signs or bright lights, just the usual displays and a couple of chairs for people to sit while we talk. It’s mostly about keeping track of the inventory and making sure the silver stays bright despite the humidity and the city dust that creeps in.
