L J Foam Products is located at Plot No. 3 in the B M C Compound, which is out in Mahadevpura near Whitefield. This part of Mahadevpura is always packed with traffic, so we usually try to get in early to avoid the worst of it. The compound itself is a bit of a maze if you haven’t been here before, but Plot No. 3 is easy enough to spot once you’re inside. We have a lot of space because foam takes up a lot of room. It’s basically a big warehouse with some small office sections partitioned off. The smell of the materials is something you just stop noticing after the first week. We spend most of our time moving things around or checking the inventory. It’s a very physical job, and we’re often covered in bits of fluff by the time we head home. The Whitefield area has grown so much around us, with all the tech parks and malls, but inside our compound, it still feels like the old industrial days. We have a small crew and we all know each other’s business. It’s not a shiny corporate office; it’s a place where work gets done and hands get dirty. We keep our coffee mugs on a dented metal table and our records in some old filing cabinets that don't always close right. It’s just how we run things.
