We are based at No. 11/1 on K. R. Road in Basavanagudi. This is one of those older parts of Bangalore that still has a bit of character left. The trees along the road are nice, though the traffic has gotten much worse over the years. Our building is a simple one. We don't have a big flashy storefront. Most of the work we do is tucked away inside. We spend our hours looking at small pieces of jewellery, sorting through beads and metal parts. It’s quiet work for the most part, though we usually have the radio on or people chatting while they work. Basavanagudi is a busy area with a lot of temples and old houses nearby. Sometimes you can hear the bells from the street or the sound of the flower sellers outside. We like being in this part of town because it feels more like home than some of the newer, glass-walled office areas. The space itself is a bit cramped because we have so many small components to store. Everything has its place, even if it looks a bit messy to an outsider. We’ve had the same staff for a long time, so we all know how the daily routine goes without having to say much. It’s just about getting the pieces ready and making sure nothing gets lost. It’s a decent place to spend the day, even if the stairs are a bit steep and the coffee nearby isn't great.
