Kurtoskalacs Chocolate Cafe

You’ll find us at 130 on the 17Th H Main Road in the 5Th Block of Koramangala. If you know Bangalore, you know Koramangala is always packed with people and traffic. Our little cafe is right in the thick of it. We spend our days making those chimney cakes and working with chocolate. The kitchen gets really warm because of the ovens, so we’re always opening the back door to let some air in. It’s not a huge place. We have a few tables for people to sit at, but it gets crowded pretty quickly on the weekends. We see all sorts of people walking by—students, office workers, and families. The 17Th H Main Road is never really quiet. There’s always the sound of horns and people talking outside. We do a lot of cleaning because chocolate tends to get everywhere if you’re not careful. We aren't part of some massive chain with a manual for everything. We just make the food and serve the coffee as best we can. Sometimes we run out of ingredients and have to dash to the local market to top up. It’s a bit chaotic at times, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We like the energy of the 5th Block. It keeps us on our feet and makes the days go by fast. There's always something to do, either prepping the dough or cleaning the machines.
