Krupashankar Canteen

Krupashankar Canteen sits right across from Krupanidhi College at 41609 Carmelram. Since we are so close to the college, we see a lot of students every single day. They come in looking for a quick bite or a tea between their classes. It gets very loud during the lunch hour with everyone talking at once and the clatter of plates. We have a few benches where people sit, but often it’s standing room only when the rush hits. The menu isn't anything fancy, just the usual stuff that people like to eat when they are in a hurry. We keep the kettle going almost constantly because someone always wants a hot drink. Carmelram has changed a lot over the years, but the canteen stays pretty much the same. We know the regulars and what they usually order without them having to say much. Sometimes the students are stressed about exams, and you can see them staring at their books while they eat. We try to keep things moving so nobody has to wait too long. It is a simple life running a canteen, but it keeps us busy from morning until evening. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us making sure the food is ready and the place is clean enough to keep going for another day. It is just a regular spot for the college crowd.
