Krishna Stores

If you walk down Old Market Road in Shivaji Nagar, you’ll see us at No-116. Krishna Stores has been here for a good chunk of time. The road is always loud with people shouting and carts moving by, but that is just how a market is. Our shop is tucked into a row of other small businesses. It isn't a huge place, but we manage to fit everything we need inside. I spend a lot of my day standing near the front counter or climbing up the ladder to reach the top shelves. The light isn't great in the back of the store, so we use a couple of extra lamps to see what we are doing. Shivaji Nagar is a tight-knit area, and we see the same faces every single day. Some people have been coming here since they were kids. We don't do anything flashy to get attention. No neon signs or loud music. We just keep the doors open and wait for whoever needs something. Sometimes the rain comes down hard and we have to move things away from the entrance, but we’re used to it. The floor is a bit worn out from all the walking, but it shows we’ve been busy over the years. It is a simple life running a store on this street. We don’t think much about being big or famous, we just want to be here when the neighbors need to buy their supplies and get on with their day.
