Krishna Bhojalay

Our little bhojalay is located at 13119 Arcot Srinivaschar Street in the JP Nagar area. It’s a pretty busy street and we are right there in the middle of all the other shops and houses. We focus on serving daily meals to people who live or work nearby. It’s a small place, maybe a bit smaller than you’d expect when you first see it. We have a few wooden benches and tables that have seen better days, but they do the job. The kitchen is open so you can see the pots bubbling and hear the rotis being made. It gets quite warm in there, especially when we are in the middle of the lunch hour and the stoves are going full blast. We don't have a huge menu with lots of choices. We just cook what people usually eat at home every day. I spend a lot of my time at the market picking out vegetables or talking to the suppliers. The street outside is always full of bikes and delivery vans, so it’s a very urban feeling. We’ve been here for several years now and have a group of regulars who come every day. We don't bother with fancy signs or marketing stuff. People just know the food is there and it’s affordable. It’s a humble setup, and sometimes the floors get a bit dirty when it rains, but we sweep them when we can. It’s just a normal place for a quick meal.
