Koshys Calcutta Chats

Koshys Calcutta Chats is located at Brigade Road, tucked into the B U Bhandari Industrial Estate in Sanaswadi, Shirur 50. It’s a bit of an unusual spot for a chat place, being in an industrial area, but we like it here. The workers from the nearby factories come by during their breaks, and that keeps us on our toes. We wanted to bring those specific flavors from Calcutta to this part of Shirur. It’s not a polished cafe with air conditioning and soft music. It’s a real place where things happen fast. We prep everything in the morning—chopping onions, mashing potatoes, and getting the spices just right. Sometimes the floor gets a little messy when it’s raining outside, but we mop it up as soon as we can. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us doing the cooking and serving. We don't bother with fancy plating; we just put the food in the bowl and hand it over. The Industrial Estate has its own rhythm, and we’ve become a part of that. We aren't here to win awards or be famous. We just want to make sure that when you come to Brigade Road, you get a snack that tastes right. It’s a simple goal, and we work hard at it every day.
