Khub Khurmi

Khub Khurmi is located in C V Raman Nagar, right opposite the Sambhav building. It’s a small place and we don't have a lot of bells and whistles or fancy things. We mainly focus on the food we grew up eating. It’s a lot of prep work every single morning, getting everything ready for the lunch crowd that shows up. The space is a bit tight, so things can get a little cramped when it’s busy. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us doing everything from the cooking to the cleaning. C V Raman Nagar is a nice neighborhood and we’ve gotten to know a lot of the residents and workers over the years. We aren't looking to become a big chain or anything. We just like having our own little shop. The recipes are just things we’ve always made at home. We don't use any fancy equipment, just the usual pots and pans in our kitchen. Sometimes we run out of stuff before the day is over because we don't like to keep things overnight. It’s a simple way of doing business. If you’re in the area, you’ll find us easily enough across from Sambhav. We aren't big on social media or any kind of advertising. We just open the doors and see who comes in. It’s been working out okay so far for us. It’s a quiet life running a small place. We enjoy the routine and the familiar faces.
