This spot on Marrapa Road is where we spend most of our hours. It’s right at the 1st Cross in Bangalore, so it stays pretty busy with people moving back and forth all day. If you’ve spent any time in this part of Karnataka, you know how the traffic can get. We’re right in the middle of it. The shop has been here for a bit, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the street noise. It’s not the quietest place to work, but it feels alive. We do a lot of cleaning and prepping. The kitchen gets hot, especially when the lunch rush starts and everyone is hungry at the same time. We don't really do anything fancy here. It's just about getting the orders right and making sure the floor isn't sticky. Most of us live nearby, so the commute isn't too bad, though the 560008 zip code can be a nightmare during the rains. We see the same faces every week, mostly folks from the neighborhood stopping in. Sometimes the power goes out, which is just part of living in Bangalore, and we just have to wait it out. We’ve got a few tables that have been here since the start. It’s a plain place, really. We just try to keep the lights on and the food ready for whoever walks through the door on Marrapa Road.
