Kennametal Sharedservices

Our office is tucked away at H.No-18, 4th Main in Ayyappa Nagar. It’s in K.R Puram, so if you know Bangalore, you know the traffic can be a real headache around here. We are Kennametal Sharedservices, but that’s just a name for what we do on the computers all day. It’s a residential-looking building, which is nice because it doesn’t feel like a cold factory. We have a few floors and a lot of screens. Usually, it’s just the sound of typing and some people chatting in the break area near Devasandra. We don't have a cafeteria, so most of us bring lunch from home or find something local. It’s a quiet street for the most part, except when the school buses go by. We’ve been at this address for a while and we’ve seen the neighborhood grow up around us. We don't have any big marketing team telling us what to say. We just handle the background stuff that keeps the bigger company moving. It's a lot of spreadsheets and emails. Sometimes the internet acts up, and we all take a minute to stretch. It’s a decent place to work. We like it because it feels more like a house than a corporate office. There are some nice trees outside our windows too. Most of the folks here live quite close, so we don't have to deal with the K.R Puram traffic for too long every morning. It’s a pretty simple setup we’ve got going.
