Karnataka Govt Insurance Department

This office is the Karnataka Govt Insurance Department, located at 107B in Jeevan Bhima Nagar. We are tucked away in the Gaviyappa Thimmappa Layout, right in Srinivasa Colony near the PWD quarters. It is a typical government setup with plenty of desks and stacks of files that need processing. Our day is mostly filled with looking over forms and making sure all the signatures are in the right places. People come in from all over the city to handle their insurance matters, and we spend a lot of time explaining which documents are missing or how to fill out the latest version of a claim. It can be slow going sometimes because there is a lot of paperwork to get through, but that is just the nature of the job. The fans are usually humming overhead while we work through the stacks on our desks. We try to keep things moving as best as we can, even when the queues get a bit long in the afternoons. Working in the PWD quarters area means we see a lot of the same faces from the colony. It’s not a flashy place, just a quiet office where we manage the various insurance schemes for the state. We follow the rules and make sure the records are kept safe in the cabinets. Every day is about the same, just checking the entries and filing them away. We do our best to help everyone who walks in, one file at a time, until the day finally ends.
