Karavali Masala

You can find Karavali Masala over at Electronic City 42. It’s kind of funny being in a place known for tech companies when we’re just here grinding spices all day. The smell of chili and coriander hits you before you even get through the front door. We spend our days measuring out powders and sealing up plastic bags for sale. It’s a dusty job, and everyone here sneezes at least a few times a day from the pepper in the air. We have a few machines to help with the grinding, but a lot of it is still checking things by hand to be sure. Our space at 42 is simple and functional. We don’t have a bunch of meetings or fancy presentations for anybody. We just focus on getting the blends right and keeping the bags moving out to the local shops. The traffic in Electronic City is a nightmare, but we’ve learned to work around it with our delivery times. It’s a plain building, nothing special to look at from the outside. Inside, it’s just us working through the piles of raw spices that come in from the market. We’ve been doing this for a while now and we don't feel the need to change how we operate our business. It’s just honest work that keeps us busy from early morning till evening. We just keep the grinders running and the bags filled.
