Kalakruti

We are over at number 5 on the 1st Cross in Srinivasa Layout. Lingarajapuram is a busy area, but our little street is tucked away just enough that it’s not too crazy. We've been at this address for several years now. It’s a simple building, nothing that stands out from the street. We do our work inside and don't really worry about having a big window display or anything like that. Most days start with making sure the place is tidy. We have a lot of stuff tucked away in corners because the space isn't huge. Sometimes we have to move boxes around just to get to the back. It’s a bit of a squeeze, but it works for us. We don't really have a big marketing plan or anything. People mostly find out about Kalakruti through word of mouth or by just walking past and seeing the sign. The neighborhood is okay, though the roads get a bit messy when it rains. We usually close up when it starts getting dark. Our neighbors are mostly families, so it gets pretty quiet in the evenings. We’ve got a small radio that we play sometimes to keep things from being too silent while we work. It’s a practical setup, and we don't feel the need to change much about it. It might not look like much from the outside, but it is where we spend all our time.
