K Ramakrishna

This place at 13 Venkatarangapura has been home to my work for quite a while. It’s on Borsa Pada Road, just off Sai Baba Nagar, which is a fairly quiet area compared to the main streets. I started out small, just me really, and not much has changed in terms of how I run things. The building is older, and you can see the wear on the walls, but it’s got a lot of character. People usually find me by looking for the Sai Baba Nagar landmark nearby. Most of the folks who stop by are from the neighborhood or people I’ve known for ten or twenty years. I don’t have a big sign or any bright lights. K Ramakrishna is just the name on the door. Inside, there are stacks of papers and some old wooden furniture that’s been around forever. I spend a lot of time sitting at the desk, taking calls and writing notes. It’s peaceful in the mornings before the rest of the world wakes up properly. Sometimes the street outside gets blocked by a delivery truck, but nobody really minds much. We just wait it out. It’s a simple way to work, without any of the rush or the fancy systems you see in the big cities. I like knowing my neighbors and seeing the same faces every day. It feels right being part of this local community and doing things my own way without any pressure.
