I’m based at No. 196 on the ground floor in Sharda Colony. It’s part of Basaveshwara Nagar, which is a fairly calm area compared to the rest of the city. My office is easy to get into since it’s right on the ground level, which saves everyone from climbing stairs. Inside, it’s mostly just me surrounded by books, ledgers, and a computer that’s seen better years. I usually start my day by opening the shutters and letting a bit of fresh air in, though the dust from the street always follows. The walls are a plain color and I haven't really bothered with putting up any pictures or anything like that. It’s a practical space meant for getting through a lot of paperwork. Sharda Colony has a decent rhythm to it, and I usually know when it’s lunchtime because of the smell of cooking from the houses nearby. People sometimes drop in just to say hello or ask for a bit of advice on things. I keep a jar of water on the side and a few spare chairs for whenever someone stops by. It’s not a fancy corporate office by any means. It’s just a room where I do my business and keep track of everything that needs to be finished by the end of the week. The routine is the same most days, and that suits me just fine.
