Our office is at 1/5 Palace Road, in a building we call Jurong House. It’s a fairly quiet spot, and there are some nice old trees along the street that give a bit of shade. We spend our days mostly looking at engineering drawings and working on project files. It’s a lot of desk work, which can be tiring in its own way. We aren't a huge firm with hundreds of people. It’s just a small group of us who have worked together for a while. We don't have any big corporate mission statements posted on the walls. We just try to get the work done correctly so there aren't any mistakes in the plans. There is always a pot of tea going in the back room. Sometimes we have to stay late when a project is close to a deadline, but usually, we try to beat the traffic on Palace Road. The office is a bit cluttered with rolls of paper and old files, but we know where everything is. We don't really do much in the way of advertising. Most of the people we work with have known us for years. It’s a steady pace of work. We just sit down, open the files, and get to it every morning.
