My place is over in the Vidyaranyapura Industrial Area. It’s labeled as Joseph John on the paperwork. Being in an industrial zone means there’s always some kind of machinery humming in the background. I’ve been at this spot at number 11 for quite a while. It’s not a retail shop where people wander in to browse. Usually, people come here because they have a specific project or need something fabricated. The walls are a bit dusty and there are scraps of metal and wood here and there. I prefer it that way. It shows work is getting done. I usually start early before the sun gets too high. The coffee at the small stall down the road keeps me going. Sometimes it’s just me, other times a couple of hands help out. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. Just a workbench and some tools. People find me through word of mouth mostly. Dealing with industrial supplies or small repairs keeps the days full. It’s a bit out of the way for most, but the space works for what I do. The neighbors are mostly other workshops, so nobody complains about the noise. It’s a simple setup. If you need something handled with a bit of care and common sense, this is where I am. I try to stay organized but things get messy when we're busy. That's life in the industrial area.
