Joab Caterer

Joab Caterer is based out of Hennur Bande in the Kalyan Nagar area. Specifically, we are at No.170 on the 1st Main in Sonappa Layout. It is a residential kind of area, so it stays relatively quiet compared to the main roads of Bangalore. We started this because we liked cooking for big groups. Our kitchen is where everything happens. You can usually smell what we are making from the street. It is not a restaurant where you can come and sit down, we mostly do everything for delivery and events. We have a couple of small vans that we use to move the food around. Getting through the traffic in 560043 can be a real pain, especially in the evenings. We spend a lot of time checking the clocks to make sure things go out on time. The staff here are mostly guys from the neighborhood. We know each other well and we don't have many rules as long as the work gets done right. The layout has changed a lot over the years with more buildings coming up. We stay in our corner and keep the stoves burning. It is hard work, standing on your feet all day and lifting heavy pots. But it is what we know how to do. We don't have a fancy office, just a desk in the corner with a lot of receipts and old calendars.
