We are located on the 3rd floor of the Prestige Atrium, which is at No. 407 on Central Street in Shivaji Nagar. Being in the middle of Bangalore means it is always incredibly busy outside. The traffic on Central Street can be a nightmare during rush hour, but once you get inside the building and up to the third floor, it’s a bit more manageable. Our office is where all the administrative work for the cement business happens. There are a lot of desks, computers, and people talking on phones all day long. We deal with the numbers, the contracts, and the scheduling for the bigger operations. It’s a different world from the actual cement plants because it’s much cleaner and air-conditioned, but the pressure is still there to get things right. We have a small pantry where we all gather for lunch or a quick coffee break to complain about the morning commute. The windows look out over the city, which is nice when you need a break from staring at spreadsheets. You can see the rooftops and the constant movement of people below. We aren't the ones out there bagging the cement, but we make sure the people who do have everything they need to keep the supply moving. It’s a lot of coordination and paperwork, and sometimes it feels like the files will never end. We just keep plugging away at it, day after day, making sure the business side stays on track.
