Jimmy Classes

Jimmy started this thing in Kalyan Nagar at 175/1 a while back because he saw a lot of kids just hanging around after school with nothing much to do. It’s a pretty simple setup we’ve got here. We have a few rooms with enough desks for whoever shows up. It’s not one of those big coaching centers you see in the city center with bright lights and posters everywhere. It’s just Jimmy’s place. Most days it’s pretty busy in the afternoons when the schools let out. You can hear the chatter from the street before you even walk inside. We spend a lot of time just going over the basics that kids might have missed in their regular classes. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to open all the windows to keep it from getting too stuffy. It’s just how things go around here. People in the neighborhood know where we are, so we don’t really have to explain ourselves much. We just do the work, help with the math or the science, and make sure everybody understands what’s on the page before they leave. It feels like a big family sometimes because we see the same faces every single day. We’ve been at this address for a good bit now and the neighbors are used to the noise of kids coming and going. It’s just a local spot for learning.
