We have been running J C R M Bearings Co out of this spot in Dasarahalli for a good while now. If you know the Ramaiah Complex near Jalahalli Cross, you probably walked past us a dozen times without noticing much. It is not a fancy place, just shelves and shelves of bearings stacked up to the ceiling. Most days it is just us sorting through boxes or helping someone find a specific part for a machine that broke down across town. People come in with greasy parts in their hands and we have to measure them with the calipers to get it right. It gets a bit loud with the traffic outside from the cross, but we are used to it by now. The shop is small and we keep it that way because it is easier to manage. We handle all sorts of sizes, from tiny ones for small tools to the big heavy ones that take two people to lift properly. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the entrance and we have to scurry around to move things, but that is just how it goes here. We have a small desk tucked in the corner where we keep the ledgers and the phone. It is a simple setup really. We do not have a big team, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. If you need something specific, you usually have to wait while we dig through the back bins to find the right box. It stays pretty busy from morning until we close up for the night.
