We handle life insurance stuff here at Ing Vysya. It’s a lot of forms and talking to people about their plans. It’s not the most exciting job in the world, but it’s important to the folks who come in. The traffic on the way to the office can be a real headache some mornings, so we usually start the day a bit frazzled. We’ve got a small team here. We spend most of our hours sitting at desks, looking over policies and making sure the details are sorted. Sometimes the printer jams or we run out of milk for tea, but we manage. People stop by with questions about their future or their families, and we do what we can to help them understand the paperwork. It’s a lot of reading the fine print. We've been in this part of Bangalore for a good bit now. You get to know the people walking by. It feels like a community even if we’re just doing insurance. We don't have a big corporate vibe here, just a regular office where we try to stay organized. It gets busy during certain months, but we just take it one file at a time. It’s not like we’re saving the world, but for the person whose family is looked after, it counts for something. We just keep our heads down and do the paperwork.
