Infosys Technologies Limited

Our place is tucked away at 3395 A on the 5th Cross. It is part of the 1st Main in Gayathrinagar, which is one of those older, more established parts of Bangalore. The streets are a bit narrow here, and there are a lot of trees around, which helps with the shade. Infosys Technologies Limited has this space that fits right into the neighborhood. It is a simple building without any large signs or flashing lights. We walk to work or take the bus because parking a car in these lanes is almost impossible most days. Inside, the rooms are filled with desks and a lot of wiring. It’s a very functional environment. We know the guy at the corner shop who sells coffee and biscuits, and he usually has our orders ready by the time we walk over. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed compared to the big tech parks on the outskirts of the city. We don't have a cafeteria or a gym, just a small kitchen area where the kettle is always on. Sometimes the internet acts up, or the water delivery is late, but that is just part of running an office here. We like the fact that it feels like a neighborhood spot rather than a cold institution. Most of us have worked here long enough to know the shortcuts through the side streets and where to get the best snacks.
