Indus School

Indus School is situated on Sarjapura Road in the Sarjapur area. This part of town has changed a lot lately with all the new buildings going up, but we are still here doing our thing. The road is always packed with traffic, so we are used to the noise of cars and trucks going past. The school grounds are a bit of a relief once you get inside the gates. It’s not a huge campus, but we have enough room for the kids to run around during their breaks. We keep the office simple with just the essentials. Most of our day is spent managing schedules and talking to parents who live in the new apartments nearby. We don't have a big corporate team behind us. It is mostly just a few of us making decisions about what needs fixing or which books to order. The classrooms are plain and we try to keep them airy because the sun can be quite strong on this side of town. We have a small canteen that smells like tea and snacks in the afternoon. It is a very normal place to work. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just provide a place for kids in Sarjapur to go to school every day. Some days are better than others, but we just keep showing up and doing the work. There's always some maintenance to do, like painting a wall or fixing a fence, but we manage it ourselves. It's just a bunch of regular people working together.
