Imran

If you go to 45 BTM Layout on King Street, you will find us right behind the IBM building. It’s a handy landmark because otherwise, people sometimes get lost in the side streets around here. Imran is just the name on the front but there are a few of us who work inside the space. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze with the equipment we have set up. The street outside is always full of bikes parked everywhere so getting a car in can be a real headache. We’ve been here for a couple of seasons now and have seen the shops around us change hands a few times. Inside it’s mostly just functional. We have a small table where we keep the ledger and a few pens that always seem to run out of ink when you need them. The walls are a plain off-white color and could probably use a fresh coat of paint but nobody has the time to move everything out to do it. We get a lot of foot traffic from people working at the tech park nearby who are just looking for a quick fix or an answer to a question. We don't have any big speeches or anything. We just open up in the morning, do the tasks that are lined up, and lock up when the streetlights come on. It is just a normal way to earn a living in a very busy part of the city.
