Our office is tucked away in Mugalivakkam at Ibm. It’s a bit quieter than the main city center, which is nice if you don't like constant honking. Getting here in the morning is okay if you beat the rush hour, but if you're even five minutes late, the roads get packed. We’ve got a small setup here. It’s basically just a room full of monitors and cables. The building isn't the newest, but it stays cool enough. We spend most of our time dealing with data and fixing whatever comes our way on the screens. Usually, we take turns going out for coffee because the machine in the breakroom is always on the fritz. It’s just how it is. We aren't doing anything world-changing, just the daily tasks that keep the lights on. Most of us have been here for a couple of years, so we know each other's habits pretty well. There’s a guy who always brings extra snacks, which helps on the long afternoons. We don't really do big meetings unless something really breaks. Mostly, it's just emails and quiet work. When the sun goes down, we pack up and head out. It’s a straightforward life, no frills or anything special. Just a job in a decent part of Chennai. Sometimes we talk about the weekend or the latest movies during our lunch break. It's just a normal group of people working together in Mugalivakkam, keeping things moving along as best as we can for the business.
