The office on 2nd Main here in Bangalore is where we spend most of our waking hours. It’s a bit tucked away, which is actually nice because it stays a little quieter than the main roads. We work under the Ibm India Pvt Ltd name, handling various bits of data and support work. There’s no big sign with flashing lights, just our door and a small lobby. Most of the staff has been here long enough that we know how everyone takes their tea. The mornings are usually spent sorting through tickets and making sure the servers are behaving. Bangalore weather helps, though it rains so much lately that we’ve all got umbrellas leaning against our desks. We don't really do the corporate jargon thing here. We just talk about what needs fixing and who’s going to do it. The desks are a bit cluttered with notebooks and old mugs, which makes it feel like home. Sometimes we stay late when a project is lagging behind, but usually, we’re out by a reasonable hour to beat the worst of the evening rush. It’s a functional space, nothing more and nothing less. We’ve got a couple of plants near the window that are barely clinging to life, but they add a bit of color. It’s a decent place to work, honestly, with a lot of regular folks just doing their bit.
