We are tucked away on 4th B Cross in Ashirwad Colony, right off Horamavu Main Road at number 36. It’s a bit of a quiet spot, which is good because packing hampers takes a lot of focus and space. Most days, the floor is covered in bits of ribbon, colored paper, and boxes of different sizes. It’s a bit of a mess during the wedding season, but we know where everything is. We spend most of our time measuring things and making sure the bows look right. It’s mostly just us working with our hands. People bring us all sorts of things they want to give as gifts, and we figure out how to make them fit into a nice basket or a box. Sometimes the tape sticks to everything except the paper, and that gets frustrating. We have a big table in the middle where all the work happens. The neighborhood is nice, and the neighbors sometimes peek in to see what we are wrapping today. It isn’t a huge operation, just a small space where we do our packing. We keep the doors open when the weather is nice to let some air in. Sometimes we run out of a specific color of ribbon and have to go hunting for it at the local market. It's just a simple, busy little shop doing its thing every day. We usually have the radio playing some local station while we work, just to keep the energy up.
