Hollywood Mens Parlour

Our shop, Hollywood Mens Parlour, is situated at No 10/A on the 1st Main road in Manjunatha Nagar. This is part of the 3rd Stage area, which is a fairly settled part of Bangalore. We are right across from Sri Vinayaka jewellers, so if you see the gold and jewelry shining in their windows, you know you are in the right place. The shop is a basic setup with the usual barber chairs and a bench for people to wait on. We don't have any of those modern decorations or fancy lights you see in the malls. It is just a regular place where men from the neighborhood come to get their hair sorted out. We spend a lot of time sweeping up hair and keeping the razors sharp. The 1st Main road can get a bit busy with bikes, but it is usually okay. We’ve been here long enough that most of the shop owners nearby know us. We start early in the morning, getting the towels ready and opening the shutters. There is usually a bit of a breeze if we keep the door open. We don't really do any big advertising; we just rely on people seeing the sign when they go to the jewelers or walk to the bus stop. It is an honest way to make a living. If you are in the area and need a trim, you can just walk in and see if a chair is free.
