Hira Bag & Gifts

Hira Bag & Gifts is located in the GGK Building. We are right opposite the SBI Bank, which makes it easy for people to find us when they are out doing their banking. Badiya Limdi Char Rasta is always crowded, especially in the evenings when everyone is finishing work. The shop is full of all sorts of things, bags mostly, but plenty of gift items tucked into the shelves too. It gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of stock coming in. We try to keep it tidy but sometimes there are boxes in the way and I trip over them. Civil Kammanahalli is a busy neighborhood. You can hear the horns honking all day long from the main road. Most of our customers are locals who just walk in while they’re passing by. We don’t have a big sign or anything, just the shop front. The building is older, so the stairs can be a bit steep for some folks. It’s a family-run kind of thing. My cousin helps out sometimes when I have to go pick up new items from the warehouse across town. We don’t do much advertising at all. People just know we’re here across from the bank. It gets really hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fan running on full speed. I’ve been behind this counter for years now. I know most of the people who walk past every morning. It's just a regular shop doing regular business every day, and that's how we like it, I suppose.
