Hillside Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital

Out here in Kengeri Hobli, specifically Agara Village, things are a bit quieter than the middle of Bangalore. We are tucked away at 174/2, Saldoddi. Being an Ayurveda college and hospital means there is always a mix of students and patients around. You’ll smell herbs and different oils sometimes if you walk near the treatment rooms. It’s not like those shiny modern hospitals in the city center. Our place is more grounded. The students are usually carrying heavy books or heading to the hospital wing for their practicals. Bangalore South has changed a lot, but this corner still feels like a village in some ways. We deal with a lot of local people who come in for various aches and pains. The hospital side stays busy throughout the morning. Sometimes the power goes out, or the rain makes the road a bit messy, but that’s just how it is here. The staff here mostly lives nearby or commutes from other parts of Bangalore. It’s a long day for everyone, especially for the interns who are just learning the ropes. We have classrooms and a herb garden where people can see the plants used in the medicines. It’s a lot of work keeping up with both the teaching and the patient care. We just try to get through the appointments and the lectures without too much fuss. There is always a lot of paperwork to do at the end of the day too.
