Hi-Tech Gents Parlour

Despite the name, Hi-Tech Gents Parlour is a very down-to-earth spot on Dr Rajkumar Road in Prakash Nagar. We are at number 57/94, quite close to the Yamaha showroom. This road is always loud with the sound of motorcycles and cars passing by. Inside the shop, we have the usual setup for a gents' parlour. There are three big chairs and a long counter with all our shears and razors. The floors are a bit worn from people walking in and out all day long. We have a small radio that plays local stations, usually just loud enough to hear over the traffic outside. The walls are decorated with some old pictures of various haircuts. It’s a place where men from the neighborhood come to relax for twenty minutes while they get a shave. We keep the towels in a small cabinet and have a bucket for the used ones. Sometimes the water pressure isn't great, but we manage. The lighting is okay, though one of the tube lights flickers sometimes if the weather is humid. We don't do anything fancy like those expensive places in the city center. It’s just a place to get your hair cut by someone who has been doing it for years. Most of our regulars work nearby and stop in during their lunch break or right before they go home in the evening.
