Hema Stores

Hema Stores is located on Thavarkere Main Road in the Vivek Nagar area. We have been running this shop for many years, and not much has changed inside. The space is filled with all sorts of items, from notebooks to basic household things that people in the neighborhood might need in a hurry. You can find us at 21/2, right where the road curves a bit. It is a simple place with old wooden shelves that have seen better days. I usually open up around nine in the morning after getting tea from the stall nearby. The front of the store always has a few stacks of newspapers or magazines for the morning crowd. Vivek Nagar is a busy place, so there is always someone coming in to ask for a pen or a notebook for their kids. We don't really have a computer system or anything modern; we just write things down in a ledger. Sometimes it gets a bit messy when we get new stock, and boxes sit on the floor for a day or two. My family helps out during the busy hours. We know most of the people who live around here by their names. It is just a regular local shop where we try to have what people ask for. The ceiling fan makes a bit of noise, but we don't mind it. It keeps the air moving during the hot afternoons and helps pass the time.
