Our work is mostly analytical, so we spend a lot of time staring at screens and trying to make sense of different health data. It’s quiet work, for the most part. The office is set up in a way that’s practical rather than pretty. We have all our equipment and plenty of coffee to keep us going through the afternoon slump. Being in Bangalore, we are surrounded by tech companies, but we like to think our little place has a more personal feel. Dr Neeta is around most of the time, making sure things are moving along. We don’t have a big corporate hierarchy here. We just work together as a small group. Sometimes we talk about the latest cricket match or the weather while we’re waiting for files to download. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, even though the work requires us to be very careful with the details. We’ve been at this 2C Main address long enough that the security guards at the gate know us all by name. It’s just a normal place where we do our best with the data we have.
