Hcl Technologies Ltd is based in A-404 at Shri Ram Samruddhi in Bangalore. This is more of a residential-style complex, so the vibe is quite different from a downtown office. It’s quieter and feels more like a home office setup but on a professional scale. We handle a lot of our tech projects from here. Being in a place like Shri Ram Samruddhi means we have a bit more green space around us than the typical commercial block. We spend our days mostly staring at screens and writing code or solving technical problems. The room has good light, which makes a difference when you’re working long hours. We don’t have a big receptionist or a lobby. People just come in and get to work. Most of us live fairly close by, which saves us from the worst of the Bangalore traffic. There’s a small kitchen area where we make tea and chat about the weekend. It’s a very low-key environment. We don’t put on any airs about being a big tech firm; we just focus on the specific tasks we have for the day. Sometimes the mail gets delivered to the main gate and we have to go pick it up. It’s just part of the daily routine. It’s a simple, effective place to get things done without the noise of a major tech park. We like the quiet here because it helps us think.
