Hair & Care Gents Parlour

Our shop, Hair & Care Gents Parlour, is situated at No 58 in Venkatarama Layout. We are in the Maruthi Sevanagar area, and the easiest way to find us is to look for the old post office—we are very close to that. It’s a gents' parlour, so we mostly see men and boys from the local layout. We’ve been operating from this spot for a long time. It’s a modest place with a couple of chairs and a television that usually has the news or a match on. We do the standard things like haircuts, shaves, and maybe a head massage if someone asks for it. It is a very casual environment. You don't need to dress up to come here; most people just come in their slippers. We know most of our customers by name since they’ve been coming to us since they were kids. The shop has its own character, with some old posters on the walls and the smell of talcum powder in the air. We keep the tools clean and the scissors sharp. It gets busy during the festival seasons or when there’s a big event in the neighborhood, but otherwise, it’s a steady flow of people. We don’t use any fancy marketing tricks. We just show up, open the shutters, and wait for the first customer of the day. It’s a simple business and it suits us just fine. People know where to find us when they need a trim.
