G.V.J. Government Secondary High School

You can find us at number 2020 on South End E Main Road in Jayanagar 9th Block. This is a government secondary high school, so things are run in a very particular way. The building is large and has that solid, old-fashioned feel to it. G.V.J. Government Secondary High School has seen a lot of students pass through these halls over the decades. We have big classrooms with high ceilings, which helps when it gets hot in the middle of the day. The furniture is all made of heavy wood and metal, and it has seen a lot of wear and tear. We spend a lot of our day dealing with the paperwork that comes with being a government institution. It is not always easy, but we keep at it. The playground is mostly dirt and stone, but the kids do not seem to mind when they are out there for their break. We have a lot of students here, so it gets very noisy during the lunch hour. The teachers have to shout a bit sometimes just to be heard over the fans and the chatter. We are not a private school with lots of fancy extras. We have the basics, and we use them as best as we can. It is about getting the syllabus finished and making sure the students are ready for their exams. It is a lot of work, but it is what we do day in and day out without complaining much.
