Guptas Mini Stores

You can find Guptas Mini Stores at number 9 in the Maruthi Complex. We are right across from the Tribhuvan Theatre on the 10th Cross of Sampige Road. Gandhi Nagar is a pretty hectic place to be, especially when a popular movie is playing across the street and the crowds start pouring out. Our shop is a small space, but we try to keep it packed with everything people might need. The shelves are narrow and sometimes it’s a bit of a squeeze when more than two people are inside at once. We spend a lot of our time counting items and making sure nothing is hiding in the back corners. The noise from the theatre and the traffic on Sampige Road is something we’ve just gotten used to over the years. Some days the morning is slow, and we just sit near the entrance watching the bikes go by. Other days, it’s a constant stream of people coming in for one or two small things. The sign outside has seen better days, and the floor tile near the door is a bit cracked, but it doesn’t stop us from doing what we do. It’s a local spot where people know our faces, and we know who is coming before they even walk through the door. We stay open until late most nights because that is when the street really wakes up and gets moving.
