Gupta Medical & General Stores

You can find us over at Gupta Medical & General Stores on Kurubarahalli Road. We’re located in the GIDC Estate at number 74. It’s a bit of a mix here because we carry medicine but also a lot of everyday things people need for their houses, like soap or snacks. The shop is usually pretty full of boxes and shelves because we try to keep a lot of stock on hand for the neighbors. People from the nearby estates come in for everything from painkillers to basic groceries. It gets quite busy in the mornings and right after work hours when everyone is heading home. We’ve been here long enough that we know many of our regular customers by their first names. It’s just a small team of us working the counters every day. We spend a lot of time checking through prescriptions and making sure we have exactly what people are looking for. Sometimes someone comes in looking for something really specific that we have to order specially, but usually, we have the basics covered. The GIDC area has a lot of workers, so we see a lot of people passing through during their breaks. It’s a practical, local shop for the community. There’s nothing too fancy about it, just shelves and a counter and us trying to get everyone what they need. We like being part of the neighborhood here on Kurubarahalli Road. It’s a steady job and we just try to do it right.
