Gulabi Girls Primary & High School

You can find us at No.70 on 4th Cross in the Jayamahal Extension. It is a nice, tucked-away spot just off Nandidurga Road. Gulabi Girls Primary & High School has been a part of this specific neighborhood for a very long time now. Many of the mothers living around here actually came to this school when they were young girls, and now they are bringing their own daughters back here to study. It makes for a very familiar and friendly atmosphere in the mornings. The building has a few different levels and the stone stairs are worn down from decades of feet going up and down. We have the primary section for the little ones and then the older girls in the high school classes. It gets a bit hectic when the school day ends because the road outside is quite narrow, but we always manage to get everyone home safely. The staff room is usually full of tea cups and big stacks of notebooks waiting to be checked. We are not a big corporate institution with a massive marketing budget. We just keep the lights on and make sure every girl has a solid desk to sit at. Sometimes the roof leaks a tiny bit when the monsoon hits particularly hard, but we just get a local workman to come and fix it. The playground isn't huge, but it is enough for a game of kho-kho or just running around.
