Grid Power Conversion

Working out of Mahalakshmi Layout 33 2, Grid Power Conversion is where we spend most of our waking hours. The neighborhood is a bit quieter than the main city center, which is nice when we need to concentrate on the technical stuff. Our workshop is filled with various components and half-finished projects. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find a polished lobby or a receptionist. Usually, you just walk in and see one of us hunched over a workbench with a soldering iron. We’ve been here long enough that the walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't found the time to move everything out of the way. The shelves are mostly metal and hold a lot of heavy testing equipment. We don't have a lot of meetings; we just talk over the hum of the machines while we work. Lunch is usually brought from home in steel boxes and eaten quickly so we can get back to what we were doing. The street outside has a few trees that give some shade during the hot afternoons. We aren't interested in being some big corporation with hundreds of employees. We like the way things are, just a few people who know their way around a circuit board. If the phone rings, one of us just picks it up while holding a screwdriver. It’s practical and it works for us.
