Bharat Electronics Ltd. is situated over on the Outer Ring Rd. in the Kanaka Nagar area. This part of town has changed a lot over the years, but our spot remains pretty much the same. The Outer Ring Rd. is always humming with the sound of trucks and buses passing by at all hours. Kanaka Nagar is a decent place to be based, with enough local life to keep things interesting. Our gate is right there where the road bends, and you can see the sign from a little distance away. The building has that classic look you find in this part of the city, sturdy and practical. Inside, it is a lot of hallways and rooms filled with equipment and people who have been with us for years. We don't bother much with fancy decorations or expensive furniture. We have the stuff we need to do our work, and that is about it. The weather can get quite hot in the afternoons, so the fans are always going. Sometimes the walk from the main road to our entrance feels longer than it is, especially when the sun is out. There is a small tea stall not too far away that most of us visit during the break. Bharat Electronics Ltd. feels like a permanent fixture in Kanaka Nagar. We just keep to our schedule and make sure the day-to-day tasks are handled without much fuss or drama.
